Meditation

Meditation is a powerful law of attraction technique that improves your quality of life and helps you to manifest your desires. It is a means of transforming the mind by cultivating more positive ways of being which can lead to a new understanding of life.




Meditation has been scientifically proven to:
  • Decrease stress and anxiety
  • Relieve feelings of depression
  • Cure phobias and obsessive thoughts
  • Rejuvenate your confidence
  • Improve concentration and focus
  • Increase motivation
  • Heal addictive traits
  • Improve relationships
  • Solve sleep problems
  • Meditation can be practiced in many different ways but a common thread runs through all meditative techniques:

    Quiet the mind: meditation is a time to let the voice in your head be quiet (which is sometimes easier said than done.) Focus inward and allow yourself to detach from your thoughts.

    Be in the now: Rather than focusing on the past or future, let your focus be on the moment. Experience each moment then let it go.

    Altered level of consciousness: Over time, meditation can lead to a state that isn't sleeping but isn't quite a wakeful state either. Meditation increases brain activity in the area of the brain associated with happiness and positive emotions, and some evidence shows that regular practice brings prolongedpositive changes in these areas.

    Types of Meditation Techniques:

  • Basic Meditation involves sitting in a comfortable position and quieting your mind by thinking about nothing. This takes some practice but as thoughts materialize in yourmind, just let them go.   • Focused Meditation is when you focus on something visual, like an object in the room; something auditory, like a tape of ocean waves; something constant, like your breathing; ora concept, like love or compassion. This may be easier for some than to focus on nothing but the idea is the same - stay in the present moment and allow yourself to slip into an altered state of consciousness.

  • Activity Oriented Meditation involves a repetitve activity that you enjoy that puts you in a "zone" and allows you to experience the "flow". Activities such as gardening, yoga, orcreating art can all be effective forms of meditation.

  • Mindfulness Meditation is the practice of a non-judgmental awareness of the present moment and a heightened awareness of sensory stimuli such as the feelings in your body, noticing your breathing, etc. You're not examining why you feel them, but just experiencing them as sensations.

  • Spiritual Meditation can be a spiritual experience, but does not have to be. Many people experience meditation as a form of prayer - where God 'speaks' or inner wisdom gives guidance. You can meditate on a single question until an answer comes or clear the mind and accept whatever comes to you.
  • These are but a few of the types of meditation to choose from but Whichever technique you use, the benefits are clear and numerous.

    By relaxing and quieting your mind, you are changing your vibration and putting yourself in a state of allowing. This lets the universe deliver your desires at a faster rate because you are not in a state of resistance. 10 to 15 minutes a day of achieving any state of detachment is all you need to change your life!
